Flat blood spots are called Cherry Angiomas.
Raised blood spots are called Campbell De Morgan.
These are small clusters of dilated capillaries. They usually develop after age 30, they can appear anywhere but are common in the trunk area.
The exact cause is unknown, but believed to be linked to ageing, hormones and genetic factors.
